Milford, Pa., the artist's hometown - a bucolic
Colonial-era hamlet along the Delaware River, which has drawn many from the nearby New York metropolitan
area to its beautiful surroundings, quaint charm and Victorian architecture.
Among Milford's most famous residents was Gifford
Pinchot, two-time Pennsylvania governor and father of
American conservation. Two of the buildings

are "Grey Towers," a castle-like structure that was
the Pinchot family's
summer cottage, and "The Bait Box," the small
outbuilding where Pinchot went for solitude and wrote many of
his letters, essays and books.
