Kim has a particular fascination with Native Americans, arising primarily from his respect for all that is American, especially its indigenous people.
As an artist, Kim is dazzled by the colors of Native American garb, the movements of their dances, the mystery of their spirituality, their connection to the earth, the story-telling features of their faces and the gleam in their eyes that holds a past full of struggle and triumph.
In the two pieces on this page - "Indian Dance" and "The Chief" - Kim captures all of those elements with a stroke of the brush.
